There is an ancient cloth scientists believe dates back 2,000 years. It is called The Shroud of Turin. The Shroud has become the most studied relic in the history of Christianity. Why? Because mysteriously imprinted on the cloth is an image of a man who has been severely beaten and crucified in the manner described in the Gospels.
It has been handled by hundreds since the 1st century, and parts of it were damaged due to a fire; yet we still have this ancient cloth intact with an image of a tortured man. For over a century now, its authenticity has been intensely debated by historians, scientists and theologians. Numerous authors write about this Shroud, attracting unbelievers, believers, doubters, and those just curious about it.
